Dmytro Chuguienko Named to Client's Choice: TOP-100 Lawyers of Ukraine 2026 for the Second Consecutive Year in Family and Immigration Law

At the end of 2025, Dmytro Chuguienko, managing partner of Disputes Law Firm, earned national recognition for the second time. He was named to the Client's Choice: TOP-100 Lawyers of Ukraine 2026 ranking in the family law and immigration law categories.

2025 was a year of strategic development and concentrated focus on priority areas. Building on the organizational and operational optimizations implemented in 2024—from deploying a CRM system to personnel reforms and revamped marketing approaches—we shifted our focus from international clients to Ukrainian clients and prioritized our family law practice.

Key Practice Areas in 2025:

Family Law became our primary specialization. We successfully handled the most complex cases:

• Divorce proceedings
• Division of marital property
• Child custody determination
• Parenting time and involvement determination
• International child return under the 1980 Hague Convention
• Judicial establishment of legal facts
• Alternative dispute resolution in family matters: from correspondence to parenting agreements and settlement agreements
• Establishment of paternity and maternity

Corporate Liquidation – it's fair to say this practice area accounted for at least 50% of the year. We handled complex cases, including one where a former company director refused to transfer corporate documents, financial records, and seals, and initiated legal disputes to obstruct the liquidation process—which we successfully defended against throughout the year. Other liquidations proceeded more smoothly, though they too had their unique challenges.

Dispute Resolution – we successfully represented clients in civil, administrative, and commercial disputes, and if we listed them all, our dear reader would grow quite weary.

Tour Operator Legal Support – throughout the year, we provided comprehensive legal support for a tour operator's operations and dispute resolution.

International Practice – we advised foreign nationals on establishing businesses in Ukraine and obtained work permits on their behalf.
